Star began test marketing Ariva® dissolvable smokeless tobacco bits in November, 2001. Ariva® was developed for use by adult smokers in any situation where they cannot or choose not to smoke. The innovative compression of powdered StarCured® tobacco results in a hard “bit” or piece that dissolves completely in the smoker’s mouth and leaves no residue. For this reason, Ariva® is an alternative tobacco product that appeals to smokers of both genders.
Ariva is available in the Rite-Aid drug store chain as well as several regional grocery store and convenience store chains throughout the United States.
